TREATMENT DURATION

The frequency of visits will vary from one to five times per week for each person in our program.  This frequency is dependent upon the necessity of care and the type of injury being treated.

The length of time for the initial examination in our Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation Program (physiotherapy or chiropractic lead treatment) can vary from 45 to 60 minutes.  Each subsequent visit in our program can vary from 30 to 90 minutes. The average number of total visits vary between conditions but average between 10-12 visits based on review of our performance measurement system. We measure the effectiveness of our care through this same performance measurement system that documents your functional score at the beginning, three week intervals and at the end of your treatment.  In 2021 and for the first quarter of 2022, our average change in functional score is 16 meaning that with compliance with the treatment our patient's gained an average of 75-80% improvement in function post treatment and 80% of a sample of our persons served maintain this function at a three month follow up call.

With our Occupational Rehabilitation Program, you can expect your initial assessment to last between 60 and 90 minutes.  Subsequent visits can vary depending on the recommended programming from 60 minutes to 4 hours and can last on average from 6-16 weeks depending on the severity of your injury and the type of pre-accident employment you would like to return to. Based on the review of our performance management system 75% of participants in this program return to some form of employment and sustain this employment in a follow up call 3-6 months post discharge.
